King proclaimed as patron of the Malaysia Scouts Association

On Wednesday, October 18, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, was designated as the patron of the Malaysia Scouts Association. The Istana Negara, in a statement on Instagram, reported that this proclamation occurred during an audience granted by His Majesty to the acting National Chief Scout, Maj Gen (B) Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Zin Bidin.

During the ceremony, Al-Sultan Abdullah was also honored with the Bintang Semangat Padi Emas, the highest accolade bestowed by the Scouts Association of Malaysia, reserved for distinguished individuals. The event was attended by notable figures including National Scout Council (MPN) deputy president Datuk Ahmad Shazily Ismail Bakti, MPN honorary treasurer Tan Sri Abdullah Taib, Dewan Rakyat Speaker and MPN member Tan Sri Johari Abdul, and National Scouts deputy chief commissioner Nasaruddin Shamsuddin.
